Before establishing Brien’s Business Umbrella Accounting, Timothy Brien prepared individual tax returns and worked as a full-time controller at a unionized manufacturing plant. After his decision to seek opportunity elsewhere by exploring newer technologies, Timothy founded Brien’s Business Umbrella in 2016. With over 20 years of experience in the accounting field and as a controller, Timothy’s expertise provides results that save his clients time and money. With every service, he incorporates innovative, non-traditional solutions to deliver a superior product and customer service experience to each client. His close attention to detail – coupled with his knowledge, use, and incorporation of modern technologies – creates an efficient, accurate virtual workplace to collaborate and receive input from his valued clients.

Our Mission

Timothy learns the struggles and challenges that each of his clients experience with their current accounting or payroll methods. He then implements his own business advisory and accounting solutions specific to their needs. Located in Buffalo, NY, Timothy’s virtual firm enables him to do what he loves, so businesses throughout the U.S. can continue doing what they love to do!
